I lost 40 lbs in three months using Noom. And it wasn’t hard to do.
In the past, I used strict low carb diets to lose weight. But that no longer worked for me. My doctor suggested Noom. Noom is working and its core habits are something I can probably do for a long time.
I have another 17 lbs to lose in 60 days to reach my goal and I’m confident it will happen.

About Noom Weight
I paid for a multi-month subscription to Noom Weight.*
Noom has a lot of features and options but I chose to focus on using two things from Noom’s tools:
- Number on the scale every day. The Noon app was connected to my scale via bluetooth so recording and tracking was easy.
- Eating low calorie density food. Substituting low calorie density food instead of my usual fare was easy for me. Noom’s suggestions were items I already liked.
I didn’t use Noom’s:
- Psychological insights
- Community of fellow users
- Personal coach
I did read a lot of what Noom sent me, did the occasional quiz, and amassed a pile of Noom Coins. I even made it to the coveted Noom Wizard status. But this was secondary to my two primary focus items: I got on the scale every day and I recorded 300+ meals in a row.
*Because I was using a subset of all the Noom features, I stopped using the app after four months. By then I knew the drill. I still weigh every day and its recorded via my iPhone in the Apple Health app.
